When Life Hurts: Holding On to Hope

I don’t know what you’re walking through today. Maybe it’s pain that doesn’t seem to let up. Maybe it’s the crushing weight of loss, illness, anxiety, or overwhelming stress.

Whatever it is, please hear this: hope is not over for you.

You may not be able to see it right now, but even in your darkest moments, God is still working. He’s not distant. He’s not indifferent. He sees your tears, hears your prayers, and knows the ache in your heart.

One of the most powerful truths I’ve come to learn is this: God has a way of taking what was meant to harm us and turning it into something good. It might not happen overnight. It might not happen the way we expect. But He is faithful. He doesn’t waste pain.

Genesis 50:20 says it clearly:
"As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good, to bring about the present result, to save many people alive."

This verse reminds us that what the enemy intends for evil, God can transform for our good—and for the good of others.

God is not a promise-breaker. His Word stands firm. He will take what’s broken, what’s heavy, what’s wrong—and redeem it. Not only can He bring beauty out of ashes, but He can use your story to bring healing to others.

So hold on. Keep praying. Keep believing. Even if your faith feels small today, that’s enough. Keep trusting in the One who loves you more than you could ever imagine.

Hope isn’t gone. God is still writing your story.

Listen to this powerful song by Tauren Wells that reminds us God is still writing your story.
